We went in on a Thursday, as we avoid weekend dining anywhere. We thought it was great that someone finally aquired this place and put the work into it, but looks are deceiving. We started with the "Cutting Board" which was a hodgepodge of poorly choosen cheeses that niether went well together or with the wine. When asked, the waitress seemed startled and had no idea what cheeses they were and had to go ask. But, we kept going. I was excited about the prospect of a rib eye done correctly, but was so disappointed when it arrived. It was the fattiest piece of meat I had ever received in a resturaunt and was under cooked. The person I was with was less bold and ordered a simple pizza, the trio, which was decent. A few things really put us over the edge: the quality of the food is not where it should be, which is probablly why the prices are so low. The fact that our waitress couldn't describe a simple cheese platter was a red flag. And lastly, we noticed one of the cooks behind the bar and inquired who it was...when we were told it was the chef we couldn't leave fast enough. He looked like a stray dog, straggly hair and beared, very unkempt and unclean...not what you would expect a chef to look like. I spent the rest of the night wondering how much of his hair I had eaten! The place looks nice, good wine list, nice bar, but that's about where it ends. We gave it a shot but won't be back.
